It costs a flat $100.00 AUD, the same for every new client, regardless of how complex your books are. No surprises, no hidden fees.
During this time, we'll dig into your books, get a clear picture of what's involved, and build a solid foundation together. By the end, you'll have a real sense of what working with Simply Clever Bookkeeping actually feels like, and we'll be able to offer you a monthly price that's genuinely tailored to your situation, not just a rough guess.
The exact length depends on when you join, because we invoice on the 1st of each month to keep things clean and predictable for everyone.
Example 1 — You join on the 8th of the month. Your trial starts on the 8th (the day your $100 clears) and runs a minimum of 30 days, to at least the 7th of the following month. Since regular billing begins on the 1st, your ongoing service starts on the 1st of the month after that — roughly 23 extra days at no additional cost.
Example 2 — You join on the 21st of the month. Your trial starts on the 21st. Thirty days later is around the 20th of the following month, already past the 1st — so your ongoing service begins on the 1st of the month after that, giving you around 10 extra days free on top of your 30-day trial.
In short: you always get at least 30 days, and often a little more. We’ll confirm your exact trial start date as soon as your payment clears.
During the trial, there's a small chance we may need to decline to continue — for example, if your books turn out to be outside the scope of what we currently handle, or require specialised knowledge we don't yet offer. If that ever happens, we won't leave you in the dark. We'll always explain why, clearly and respectfully, and point you in the right direction.
Please note: the $100 trial fee is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome. This covers the real work we do to properly assess your books and set things up on our end.
Once we both know it's a good fit, you move onto a fair monthly price tailored to your actual books, no lock-in, no contracts, one clean invoice a month.
